iRest Yoga Meditation and Mindfulness Course
This course is based on iRest yoga Nidra meditation which is a contemporary, evidence-based meditation.
It will be lead by Sanda Palmer and Co-facilitated by Bridget McNamara

WHAT ARE THE OUTCOMES?
Increased body awareness in a safe, non confrontational manner
Increased ability to manage stress, anxiety/PTSD symptoms and develop relaxation skills
Safe, easy to learn breath exercises
Development of an inner resource as a safe refuge to support trauma therapy and lifes challenges
An ability to develop relaxation skills and self-soothing techniques
Mindfulness skills and the ability to take perspective and stand back from emotions and thoughts and see them as sensations in the body
An internal sense of peace, ease, contentment and joy
This course is open to anyone, but will be run with an emphasis on those with a history of trauma. It can be self-funded or funded through ACC ISSC (as a Short-Term Group Therapy) for those with a covered claim.
